NAVITEL® releases map update for Europe Q2 2015
Q2 2015 maps of 43 European countries are now available for the users of Navitel Navigator.
Q2 2015 map update is available for the following 43 countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Vatican.
The updated maps contain 8 840 064 km of road graph, 4 630 265 POI, and 623 155 settlements, 199 361 of which are provided with the detailed road network and support address search.
Poland
The map of Poland includes 72 577 settlements, 6 899 of which are provided with the road network and support address search. The POI database has been updated, and as a result, includes now the total of 239 370 POI. Length of the road graph is 699 551 km.
The following settlements have their address and road network data updated: Gdynia, Inowrocław, Kamień, Pomorski, Kutno, Łowicz, łock, Pułtusk, Radomsko, Warsaw, Włocławek, and other 55 settlements in Poland.
The map of Poland has also been provided with 20 new 3D models, which increased the total number of 3D objects on the map of Poland to 168:
Białystok: Branicki Palace.
Bielsko-Biała: Sfera Gallery, The Sułkowski Castle, The History Museum.
Bydgoszcz: Lloyd Palace, The Opera Nova opera house, BRE Bank Headquaters, Multikino cinema.
Rzeszów: Rzeszów Castle.
Krasiczyn: Krasiczyn Castle.
Malbork: Viljandi castle.
Przemyśl: Casimir Castle, National Museum.
There are a number of other 3D architectural objects added to the map.
Finland
The map of Finland includes 13 816 settlements, 9 480 of which are provided with the road network and support address search. The POI database has been updated, and as a result, includes now the total of 12 994 POI. Length of the road graph is 478 503 km.
For the first time there have been added new maps detailed down to the level of a building for the following locations: Alahovi, Veikkola, Vilniemi, Ivalo, Karhuvuori, Kokkola, Kotisaari, Kotka, Lankila, Metsola, Rasi, Seppala, Sutela, Tormannen, Halla, Hirssaari, Husula, and other 74 settlements. As a result, the map of Finland includes more than 50 thousand new unique addresses.
Information about road lanes has been added to the map on the Keha-1 and Keha-3 interchanges in Helsinki, as well as on the roads in the center of the city.
Data on the Turunvayla transportation route between Helsinki and Turku has been updated. There are also changes made in ferry lines between Helsinki and other settlements. New points of interest have been added on the maps of the following settlements: Ivalo, Kokkola, Kotka.
Czech Republic
The map of Czech Republic includes 20 535 settlements, 6 252 of which are provided with the road network and support address search. The POI database has been updated, and as a result, includes now the total of 84 711 POI. Length of the road graph is 157 759 km.
New streets and roads have been added to the map, the road network and address data have been fully updated. Changes have been made in routing.
The total of 69 brands have been provided with their own brand POI, including: A3 Sport, Alexandria, Alpine Pro, Apple PR, Baťa, Bel & Blanc, Blažek, Bushman, C&A, CineStar, Cinema City, Deichmann, DHL, Europcar, FokusOptik, Fruitisimo, H&M, Marks & Spencer, McCafé, NewYorker, Nord Blanc, OKAY, Pet Center, PotrefenáHusa, ŠKODA, Vodafone, T-MobileCOOP, and many other brands.
The maps of all countries include address search in residential and industrial areas of settlements coupled with the highly detailed road network with streets, roads, and with due account to road directions, interchanges, roundabouts, and other important road information.
