NAVITEL® releases map update for European countries Q3 2014

Q3 2014 maps of 43 European countries are now available for the users of Navitel Navigator.

Q3 2014 map update is available for the following 43 countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Vatican.

The updated maps (as of November 1, 2014) contain 8 833 754 km of road graph, 4 603 930 POI, 619 601 municipalities, allowing address search and providing road network for 198 869 of them.

Czech Republic

The map of Czech Republic includes 20 535 municipalities, allowing address search and providing road network for 6 283 of them. POI database has been extended up to 67 775. POI for A.T.U service centers and LPG gas stations have been included in the map. Length of the road graph is 157 676 km.

Poland

The complete road network of the country has been updated, so the length of the road graph is now 693 202 km. The map of Poland includes 69 023 municipalities, allowing address search and providing road network for 6 887 of them. POI database has been extended up to 236 236.

Two new 3D models of POI have been included in the map, increasing the total number of 3D models up to 149:

Wałbrzych: Książ Castle.
Łańcut: Łańcut Castle.

Germany

The complete network of highways and expressways in Germany has been updated based on the data collected by the Department of Geodesy. Roadside facilities are also now up to date. Length of the road graph is now 1 153 886 km. The map includes 64 625 municipalities, allowing address search and providing road network for 15 489 of them. The map includes 1 634 550 POI.

Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia

The information on road network and interchanges in Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, and other major administrative centers was cardinally updated. Adjustments were made in the maps of Alytus, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Marijampolė, Panevėžys, Šiauliai, Tauragė, Telšiai, Utena in Lithuania, and Daugavpils, Jekabpils, Jelgava, Jurmala, Liepaja, Rezekne, Valmiera, Ventspils in Latvia.

Maps for all countries include residential and industrial infrastructure of cities and municipalities with address search, detailed road network with traffic routes, interchanges, roundabouts and other important information.
