NAVITEL® releases Q3 2015 map update for Europe

Q3 2015 maps of 43 European countries are now available for the users of Navitel Navigator.

Q3 2015 map update is available for the following 43 countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Vatican.

The updated maps contain 8 840 064 km of road graph, 4 707 524 POIs, and 623 155 settlements, 199 395 of which are provided with the detailed street network and support address search.

Czech Republic

The map of Czech Republic includes 20 535 settlements, 6 252 of which are provided with the street network and support address search. The POI database has been updated, and as a result, includes now the total of 106 612 POI. Length of the road graph is 160 225 km.

Based on the video materials provided by the geodesic department, the road graph on the map of Prague has been corrected. The SPEEDCAM database has been fully actualized so that the map contains all the existing speed control cameras. Some changes in the routing in Prague have been applied. Transport interchanges and signs of traffic restrictions have been updated as well.

An update of the Czech POI database has been conducted. This included: restaurants, cafes, bars, fast-food chains, and other objects.

Italy

The map of Italy includes 65 593 settlements, 39 917 of which are provided with the street network and support address search. The POI database has been updated, and as a result, includes now the total of 66 830 POIs. Length of the road graph is 818 900 km. There are 28 766 336 unique addresses in the map of Italy available for address search.

Based on the video materials provided by the geodesic department, the highways on the map of Italy have been detailed and routing has been modified. Information about road lanes, road signs, and roadside infrastructure objects has been updated. New roads built in 2015 have been added to the map.

Poland

The map of Poland includes 72 577 settlements, 6 902 of which are provided with the street network and support address search. The POI database has been updated, and as a result, includes now the total of 256 997 POI. Length of the road graph is 702 083 km.

The following settlements have their address and street network data updated: Bielsko-Biała, Bydgoszcz, Bytom, Gliwice, Gniezno, Katowice, Kościan, Międzyrzecz, Mikołów, Poznań, Pułtusk, Świebodzin, Słubice, Chrzanów, Jaworzno, and 18 other settlements in Poland.

Sweden

The map of Sweden includes 27 063 settlements, 3 397 of which are provided with the street network and support address search. The POI database has been updated, and as a result, includes now the total of 13 115 POIs. Length of the road graph is 365 987 km. There are 6 189 660 unique addresses in the map of Sweden available for address search.

The following settlements have their address and street network data fully updated: Stockholm, Blackeberg, Botkyrka, Bromma, Drottningholm, Lidingö, Nacka, Norsborg, Salem, Södertälje, Solna, Sundbyberg, Tumba, Farsta, Haninge, Huddinge, and 16 other settlements in Sweden.

The maps of all countries include address search in residential and industrial areas of settlements coupled with the highly detailed street network with streets, roads, and with due account to road directions, interchanges, roundabouts, and other important road information.
