NAVITEL® releases Q1 2017 map update for Europe

Europe Q1 2017 maps are now available to the users of Navitel Navigator.

Q1 2017 map update is available for the following 44 countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Vatican City State.

The updated maps contain 9 864 949 km of road graph, 4 916 846 POI, and 708 327 settlements, 322 734 of which are provided with the detailed street network and support address search.

Austria

The map of Austria contains 25 905 cities and settlements, 10 597 of them are provided with the road network and support address search. The address database contains 2 785 006 unique addresses. The map contains 58 842 POI. Total length of the road graph is 214 313 km.

The road network in Vienna and the northern part of the country has been updated based on the video materials provided by the geodesic crew. All junctions and interchanges have been revised and are now up-to-date. The new map release adds speed cameras and road signs.

The POI database is completely updated on the whole territory of Austria, including Vienna.

A new by-pass channel around Zell an der Pram has been added.

Czech Republic

The map of the Czech Republic contains 20 535 cities and settlements, 6 259 of them are provided with the road network and support address search. The address database contains 4 590 377 unique addresses. The map contains 110 820 POI. Total length of the road graph is 160 554 km.

The map of the Czech Republic Q1 2017 has been updated with significant navigational data.

• A new section of highway D8 has been added (from 52 km to 64 km).
• The routing in Brno has been updated.
• Toll roads have been removed on highways D0, D1, D5, D6, D7, D8, D10, D11, D35, D46.
• A new by-pass channel around Velemyšleves and Staňkov has been added.
• New roundabouts have been added in the following cities and settlements – Chomutov, Chrudim, Janovice nad Úhlavou, Kutná Hora, Milevsko, Nymburk, Pardubice, Telč, Těšovice, Třebíč, Velká Bíteš, Znojmo

Hungary

The map of Hungary contains 3 969 cities and settlements, 3 210 of them are provided with the road network and support address search. The address database contains 2 987 417 unique addresses. The map contains 32 675 POI. Total length of the road graph is 108 812 km.

The updated map of Hungary Q1 2017 adds:

• a new by-pass channel around Zalalövö;
• a new road N8 around Székesfehérvár;
• roundabouts on highways.

Norway

The map of Norway contains 19 063 cities and settlements, 1 435 of them are provided with the road network and support address search. The address database contains 3 509 904 unique addresses. The map contains 6 131 POI. Total length of the road graph is 222 230 km.

The routing in Oslo has been improved, new intersections and traffic lights have been added. Speed limits on the main streets are now up-to-date. POI database in Oslo has been completely updated.

The routing has been improved for the following cities and settlements – Ål, Ålesund, Arendal, Asker, Dale, Drammen, Frei, Eiker, Grimstad, Gjøvik, Holmestrand, Horten, Hovdebygda, Kongsberg, Larvik, Ørsta, Øvre, Porsgrunn, Rena, Sandefjord, Sande, Tønsberg, Tromsø, Vikersund.

The junctions and secondary streets adjacent to major roads and highways E6, E16, E18, E39, E136, R4, R5, R9, R15, R60, R61, R70, R150, R159, R190, R555 have been revised and completed with relevant navigational information.

Poland

The map of Poland contains 95 313 cities and settlements, 53 671 of them are provided with the road network and support address search. The address database contains 13 609 807 unique addresses. The map contains 264 917 POI. Total length of the road graph is 712 153 km.

The map of Poland Q1 2017 adds:

• updated road network;
• updated SPEEDCAM database;
• new branded POI – aetka, ARGE, ASTRAL, Crazy Bubble, MAX ELEKTRO, morele.net, SELGROS Cash&Carry, Volkswagen Bank Polska, x-kom, Zapiecek, ZOO KARINA.

Romania

The map of Romania contains 14 483 cities and settlements, 272 of them are provided with the road network and support address search. The address database contains 568 009 unique addresses. The map contains 27 979 POI. Total length of the road graph is 124 296 km.

A new HD settlements – Giurgiu – has been added.

Some data on the map of Romania Q1 2017 has been revised and corrected based on user reports.

A new database of speed cameras in Romania has been created especially for the latest update. The database covers the territory of the whole country.

Slovakia

The map of Slovakia contains 4 174 cities and settlements, 693 of them are provided with the road network and support address search. The address database contains 1 163 428 unique addresses. The map contains 15 603 POI. Total length of the road graph is 50 312 km.

A new by-pass channel around Bardejov has been added.

The road network has been revised, updated, and extended. The routing on the major Slovakian highways has been improved. The following new roads have been added:

• road R2 from Ruskovce to Pravotice;
• bypass on highway D1 near Nová Polhora.

Each map includes residential and industrial infrastructure with address search and detailed road network with traffic direction, interchanges, roundabouts, and other relevant information.
