NAVITEL® released the map update for Europe Q2 2019
With the release Q2 2019 update maps of Europe have become available for the users of Navitel Navigator.
The map update includes 44 countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Vatican City State.
Austria
The map of Austria contains 26 738 cities and settlements, including 10 783 that are available for address search. The map has 54 243 Points of Interest (POI). The length of the road graph is 216 260 km.
- Updated information on traffic movement, speed limits, maneuvers, as well as on routing schemes for various types of transport on major highways and interchanges near Vienna.
- Added a new bypass in the city of Scharnitz.
Bulgaria
The map of Bulgaria contains 5 518 cities and settlements, including 614 that are available for address search. The map has 31 500 Points of Interest (POI). The length of the road graph is 216 260 km.
In the Q2 2019 release:
- Added maps for settlements (with route break down leading up to home): cities of Vidin, Dobrich, Kazichene;
- Updated cities of Lom and Pleven;
- Added a new area for A3 «Struma» highway (Blagoevgrad city);
- Updated POI database of hotels in cities of Chernomorets and Sozopol.
Hungary
The map of Hungary contains 3 821 cities and settlements, including 3 212 that are available for address search. The map has 35 245 Points of Interest (POI). The length of the road graph is 108 812 km.
In the Q2 2019 release:
- Updated data on the following cities: Bekes, Rackeve, Salgotaryan;
- Added a new bypass 447 in Kechkemet city.
Germany
The map of Germany contains 97 048 cities and settlements, including 88 798 that are available for address search. The map has 1 647 560 Points of Interest (POI). The length of the road graph is 1 101 472 km.
Updated the road network across the whole German territory.
Denmark
Added to the map of Denmark:
- New highway 15 with interchanges;
- A new interchange with tunnels «O2 Nordhavnsvej» (Copenhagen)
- Information on road lanes at interchanges on the following highways: E20, O4, 21, E47, 16, 19, 17.
Updated POI database of petrol stations and their driveways.
Iceland
For the map of Iceland updated POI database of petrol stations and their driveways.
Italy
The map of Italy contains 69 233 cities and settlements, including 39 840 that are available for address search. 31 403 699 unique addresses are available for search. The map has 67 972 Points of Interest (POI). The length of the road graph is 782 213 km.
Updated the road graph: added new roads and crossroads with roundabouts in the North-West part of Italy.
Latvia
Updated the road networks as well as database of enforcement cameras and alerts.
Lithuania
The map of Lithuania in Q2 2019 release has an updated road graph, and updated database of enforcement cameras and alerts.
Norway
The map of Norway contains 18 811 cities and settlements, including 1 438 that are available for address search. The map has 6 238 POI. The length of the road graph is 223 426 km.
Updated POI database of petrol stations and their driveways.
Poland
The map of Poland contains 95 313 cities and settlements, including 55 063 that are available for address search. The map has 267 870 POI. The length of the road graph is 733 656 km.
Updated the road networks as well as database of enforcement cameras and alerts.
Romania
The map of Romania contains 14 483 cities and settlements, including 595 that are available for address search. The map has 44 707 POI. The length of the road graph is 135 762 km.
The map of Romania in Q2 2019:
- Added new bypasses in Miercurea Ciuc and near the city;
- Updated the road network in small settlements;
- Changed route mapping on DN6 highway via Becicherecu Mic;
- Updated POI.
Serbia
The map of Serbia contains 16 576 cities and settlements, including 812 that are available for address search. The map has 23 279 POI. The length of the road graph is 59 253 km.
Added a new area of R6 highway between the cities of Doganaj and Elez Han.
Slovakia
The following cities have been updated to the map of Slovakia in Q2 2019: Trnava, Nitra, Piestany.
Ukraine
The map of Ukraine contains 30 013 cities and settlements, including 3 707 that are available for address search. The map has 128 444 POI. The length of the road graph is 1 140 136 km.
In the Q2 2019 release for the map of Ukraine:
- Updated traffic direction on the Red Square in Chernigov city (the traffic has been temporarily changed due to reconstruction);
- Changed traffic in Kiev on the Zapadynskaya street.
- Added the bypass road in the village of Pokrovskaya Bogachka (Poltava region);
- Renamed 86 settlements in Nikolayev and Sumy regions.
- Renamed 895 streets in Poltava, Sumy, Nikolaevsk and Kiev regions;
- Added detailed address information in 75 settlements in Donetsk, Lugansk, Nikolayev, Rivne, Sumy and Ternopil regions.
Added POI database of post offices Novaya Pochta in the regions of Sumy, Odessa, Rivne, Poltava, Volyn, Vinnytsia, Zhitomir, Lviv, Ternopil, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Nikolayev, Donetsk and Lugansk.
Following the massive work of the Mapping Department and Geodesy Service, and also after the comprehensive analysis of Navitel Navigator app user feedback.
- Processed user marks, tracks and comments in Kiev city and Kiev region;
- Added POI in settlements: Kharkiv, Kiev, Krivoy Rog, Petrushi, Repki, Oleshki, Sudak, Simferopol, Yalta, Zatoka, Alushta, Belaya Tserkiv, Belgorod-Dnistrovsky, Herson, Novaya Kahovka, Nikolayev, Pervomaisk, Uzhnoukrainsk, Vinnytsia;
- Changed the speed limit from 50 km/h to 80 km/h in city of Kiev: Pobedy prospect, Bolshaya Koltsevaya road, Gorodskaya street, Koltsevaya road, P-69 highway, Stepan Bandera prospect, General Vatutin prospect, Naberzhno-Rybalskaya street, Stolichnoe highway, Naddnepryanskoe highway, Naberezhnoye highway, Saperno-Slobodskaya street, Brovarskoy prospect, Perova boulevard, Telegi Eleni street, Sobornosti prospect;
- Fixed house numeration and added road passages through Drogobich, Dnepr, Balaklava, Kharkiv and Kiev.
Finland
The map of Finland contains 13 816 cities and settlements, including 9 511 that are available for address search. The map has 15 605 POI. The length of the road graph is 480 200 km.
Added detailed maps of Pudasjärvi, Seinäjoki, Varkaus as well as updated POI database of petrol stations and their driveways.
France
The road network, POI and address search databases are updated for the whole territory of France.
Czech Republic
The map of Czech Republic contains 20 535 cities and settlements, including 6 259 that are available for address search. 3 792 185 unique addresses are available for search. The map has 125 804 POI. The length of the road graph is 164 172 km.
Updated information on traffic movement, speed limits, maneuvers, as well as on routing schemes for various types of transport on major highways of Czech Republic.
To the map also have been added:
- Bypass in Lehovic city;
- Part of D3 highway (Boshilets-Shevetin).
Switzerland
Updated the road graph in the regions of Zurich and Lucerne cities.
Sweden
The following changes have been made to the map of Sweden in Q2 2019:
- Updated POI database of museums in Stockholm;
- Updated POI database of petrol stations and their driveways;
- Added toll collection points for toll roads in Stockholm.
Estonia
Update the country road network, as well as database of enforcement cameras and alerts.
Each map includes residential and industrial infrastructure of cities and settlements with address search, detailed road network with traffic direction, interchanges, roundabouts, and other relevant navigation information.

Important! Please note that the maps in the Q2 2019 release work only with the version 9.10.1996 of Navitel Navigator or higher.
