Introduction.
Key tasks of the program are identification and display of current position on the map, automatic and manual setting of route points, route planning, object search, calculation and display of travel information, display and recording of trajectory of motion in the form of a track, and much more.
1. Program interface.
The figures below represent main elements of the interface. Their description is provided in the table below. The device in the pictures is shown only as an example. The model of the user's device and orientation of the screen may differ from those shown on the picture.

1 | Point on the map | Short tapping on the map marks the point for further operations with it, namely, reveals the Cursor and Save WP buttons. |
2 | POI | POI are points of interest which displayed in the program. Different categories of POI have different icons, as well as there is a vast variety of icons for specific points of interest, such as shopping centers, brand shops, gas stations etc. It is possible to define which POI should be displayed or hidden on the map. |
3 | SPEEDCAM | Speedcams are the data about speed cameras, radars, dangerous crossroads, speed bumps, and other types of potential obstacles on the road. |
4 | Map buttons | These are the buttons for controlling the map view types (2D/3D) and map scaling. It is possible to hide these buttons from the map. |
5 | Main menu | Tapping this button will open the main menu of the program. |
6 | Cursor | This button becomes available only when a point is selected on the map. Tapping this button will open the My route screen, where you can carry out various operation with the selected point. To learn how to work with the My route screen, see the Map screen chapter. |
7 | Save WP | This button becomes available only when a point is selected on the map. Tapping this button will cause the selected point to be saved in the form of a waypoint. |

8 | Upcoming maneuver | The indication of the distance to the next two upcoming maneuvers. Tapping the sign opens a dialog box with a number of configuration settings (see Edit route). |
9 | Progress bar | This bar indicates the elapsed and the remaining part of the route. |
10 | Street after maneuver | The name of a street following the maneuver. Please note that if certain conditions are met, there will be displayed the upcoming traffic lanes instead of street after maneuver panel. The upcoming traffic lanes are displayed only before crossroads and when not all traffic lanes can be used to pass the crossroad. |
11 | Route | Active route. If the traffic information is on, the route is colored in different colors, which correspond to different traffic density levels. Otherwise, the route is always blue. |
12 | Speed | Road speed limit is displayed next to the current car speed. The program will notify the driver in case any traffic violations are taking place – orange colour block for set overspeeding level (by default its 10 km/h), red one for over the set overspeeding. It is possible to set the speeding level for orange notification up to 30 km/h in the Alerts section of Settings. |
13 | Information panel | By default, displays a set of gauges that provide information on remaining travel time, distance to the point of destination, and estimated arrival time. It is possible to change the selection of gauges. |
14 | Current street | The name of the current street (active only when connection with satellites is established). If the map does not contain information about the active street name, the direction of movement is displayed instead (North, South, West, and East). |
15 | Road lanes | This panel displays road lanes with possible maneuvers. |
16 | GPS cursor | Indicates the current position of the device when the GPS receiver is turned on. |
17 | Road regulations | System signals when the car is approaching speed cameras, high-risk road sections and service points. The program indicates the distance left to the closest driving regulations in the right side of the display. When the vehicle is approaching them the program starts the countdown to the closest camera, hazardous area or service point. |

22 | Set Finish | The button is active only when there is an existing route. Pressing the button continues the route up to the selected point making it the destination point of the route. |
23 | Route through | The button is active only when there is an existing route. Pressing the button marks the selected point as a point to be included in the route. The last added point becomes the first one in the route after the starting point. |

35 | Toolbar | When the map screen is active, the toolbar is displayed in the very top of the screen, containing a number of icons. Some icons on the toolbar may change their look depending on the current status of the function that they represent. It is possible to change the set of icons to be displayed on the toolbar. More details you can find in the Map buttons chapter of the guide. Note that the number of icons displayed on the toolbar can vary depending on the screen orientation of your device. |

2. Routing.
2.1. Route to a point selected on the map.
You can have a route planned to a point, which can be found and marked on the map and then set as the destination, while current position of the device, determined by the GPS system becomes the starting point. To plan a route press on the map to mark the point, select "Cursor" [1] and then "Go!" [2]. The program will offer 3 alternate routes with an approximate distance and time to the finish point [3]. Press «Go!» to start follow the route.
2.2. Route to an address.
To have a route calculated to a point of a known address, press "Menu" in the bottom left corner of the screen [1] → "Find" [2] → "By address" [3], then press "Select country" and start entering the name of a country [4]. Press the icon in the upper right part of the screen to hide the keyboard. Select the country [5]. "Select city", "Select street" and «Select a building» become active only if the previous fields were filled out [6]. When all information is entered the object will be shown in the screen [7]. Press «Go!». The program will offer 3 alternative routes [8]. Press «Go!», now you can follow the route [9].
2.3. Manual setting of all route points.
To plan a route, where the starting and the destination points are determined manually, first mark a point on the map where you plan to start and press «Cursor» [1] to proceed to the «My route» screen. Tap on the information panel at the bottom of the screen [2]. Press «Set start» in the «Properties» screen [3]. The GPS-receiver must be switched off. The point will be marked on the map as a starting point. Select a destination point on the map: tap on the map to mark the point, press «Cursor» [4] and then press «Go!» in the «My route» screen [5]. The program will offer 3 alternative routes. Select the route and press «Go!» [6].
3. Some additional features.
For those devices which support Internet connection, various NAVITEL® online services, including "Navitel.Traffic" and "Navitel. Friends" are available.
3.1. Navitel.Traffic
The service provides and displays real-time information about density of traffic on the map. If a part of a road is marked green on the map this means that road traffic here is normal, if it is marked yellow – traffic is rather dense, orange – traffic is heavy, red – there is a traffic jam [1]. To set the service select "Menu" > "Settings" > "Online services".
3.2. Navitel.Friends
The "Navitel.Friends" interactive service allows viewing positions of friends on the map in real-time mode, to plan a route, using their coordinates, to share coordinates of other points and exchange messages. To turn the service on select "Menu" > "Settings" > "Online services" and set the switch in the "Turn on Navitel.Friends" field to "On" position.
3.3. Navitel.Events
This interactive service allows users to mark and see on the map other users' marks of the various types of road events.
3.4. Navitel.Weather
Navitel.Weather service shows weather forecast for 4 days for any place on Earth.
3.5. Navitel.Cloud
Navitel.Cloud service allows you to save your settings, waypoints, and search history in the cloud data storage. The data saved in the cloud can be restored afterwards in case you have reinstalled the program. If you use Navitel Navigator on several devices, waypoints and history data can be synchronized between all of them, which might come handy, saving you time otherwise spent transferring the necessary files.
The Internet connection is required.
To synchronize with another device:
1. On the map screen, within the toolbar, tap the icon .
2. If you do not see this icon, try rotating the screen in order to change the screen orientation. If it does not help and the icon does not appear, select Menu > Settings > Interface > Map buttons, and then enable the Navitel.Cloud icon display.
3. In the newly opened dialog box, select Turn on.
4. Enter your login and password data (same as on Navitel website or Navitel.Friends service). Alternatively, you can log in with either VK, FB, or Google Plus. Your Navitel account has to be synched with them.
5. In the Navitel.Cloud dialog box, select Settings, then select data which you want to synchronize.
6. Go back to the Navitel.Cloud dialog box, and tap the Synchronize now option.
7. Repeat these steps on the other device that you want to synchronize with.
3.6. Navitel.News
With the help of the Navitel.News service we deliver to you important update and program news and announce special offers and discounts.
To open the service page, select Menu > My Navitel > News.
If you want to turn this feature on or off, select Menu > Settings > Online services, find the "Show Navitel.News notifications" menu option, and then set the toggle into the position of your choice.
You can also put the Navitel.News icon on the toolbar. Go to Menu > Settings > Interface > Map buttons, and then enable the Navitel.News icon display.
