Maps of Europe are now available for Navitel Navigator users.

The updated Q1 2017 maps cover the following 44 European countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City.

The updated maps include 9,864,949 km of road network, 4,916,846 points of interest (POIs) and 708,327 settlements, 322,734 of which include detailed street network and support address search.

Czech Republic

The map of the Czech Republic contains 20,535 settlements and provides street network and address search support for 6,259 of them. The address database includes 4,590,377 unique addresses. The points of interest (POI) database has been updated and now contains 110,820 POIs. The total length of the road network is 160,554 km.

Key changes in the Czech Republic Q1 2017 map:

• a new section of the D8 motorway was added (between km 52 and km 64);
• complete navigation update in Brno;
• motorway updates within toll/non-toll sections;
• a new bypass was added around the settlements of Velemyšleves and Staňkov;
• new roundabouts were added in the following cities – Chomutov, Chrudim, Janovice nad Úhlavou, Kutná Hora, Milevsko, Nymburk, Pardubice, Telč, Těšovice, Třebíč, Velká Bíteš, Znojmo.

Hungary

The map of Hungary contains 3,969 settlements and provides street network and address search support for 3,210 of them. The address database includes 2,987,417 unique addresses. The points of interest (POI) database has been updated and now contains 32,675 points of interest (POIs). The total length of the road network is 108,812 km.

Key changes in the Hungary Q1 2017 map:

• new bypass around the city of Zalalövő;
• new N8 road around the city of Székesfehérvár;
• roundabouts on main routes.

Norway

The map of Norway contains 19,063 settlements and provides street network and address search support for 1,435 of them. The address database includes 3,509,904 unique addresses. The points of interest (POI) database has been updated and now contains 6,131 points of interest (POIs). The total length of the road network is 222,230 km.

Navigation in Oslo has been completely revised, with new intersections and traffic lights added. Speed limits on main thoroughfares are now up-to-date. The points of interest (POI) database has also been updated.

Navigation has been improved in the following cities – Ål, Ålesund, Arendal, Asker, Dale, Drammen, Frei, Eiker, Grimstad, Gjøvik, Holmestrand, Horten, Hovdebygda, Kongsberg, Larvik, Ørsta, Øvre, Porsgrunn, Rena, Sandefjord, Sande, Tønsberg, Tromsø, Vikersund.

The following main routes have been updated - E6, E16, E18, E39, E136, R4, R5, R9, R15, R60, R61, R70, R150, R159, R190, R555.

Poland

The map of Poland contains 95,313 settlements and provides street network and address search support for 53,671 of them. The address database includes 13,609,807 unique addresses. The points of interest (POI) database has been updated and now contains 264,917 points of interest (POIs). The total length of the road network is 712,153 km.

Key changes in the Poland Q1 2017 map:

• updated road network;
• updated SPEEDCAM database;
• new brand names for chains – aetka, ARGE, ASTRAL, Crazy Bubble, MAX ELEKTRO, morele.net, SELGROS Cash&Carry, Volkswagen Bank Polska, x-kom, Zapiecek, ZOO KARINA.

Austria

The map of Austria contains 25,905 settlements and provides street network and address search support for 10,597 of them. The address database includes 2,785,006 unique addresses. The points of interest (POI) database has been updated and now contains 58,842 POIs. The total length of the road network is 214,313 km.

The road network in Vienna and the northern part of Austria has been updated based on video materials from geodetic crews. All major junctions and intersections are now up-to-date. Additional radars and road signs have also been added to the new version of the Austria map.

The POI database has been completely updated throughout Austria, including Vienna.

A new bypass was added around the town of Zell an der Pram.

Romania

The map of Romania contains 14,483 settlements and provides street network and address search support for 272 of them. The address database includes 567,009 unique addresses. The points of interest (POI) database has been updated and now contains 27,979 points of interest (POIs). The total length of the road network is 124,296 km.

New settlements have been added in Giurgiu County.

The Romania Q1 2017 map has been corrected based on user reports.

A new radar database covering the entire territory of Romania has been created.

Slovakia

The map of Slovakia contains 4,174 settlements and provides street network and address search support for 693 of them. The address database includes 1,163,428 unique addresses. The points of interest (POI) database has been updated and now contains 15,603 points of interest (POIs). The total length of the road network is 50,312 km.

A new bypass was added around the city of Bardejov.

The road network in Slovakia has been updated and expanded, and navigation on main routes has been improved. The following new road sections have been added:

• R2 road Ruskovce – Pravotice;
• motorway feeder to D1 near the village of Nová Polhora.

The maps of all these countries include residential and industrial infrastructure of cities and towns, address information, a detailed road network including all streets and roads with regard to traffic situations, interchanges, roundabouts and other important information.
