Trial version of the Navitel Navigator application for Android devices and what are the conditions for its use?

If you have not used the Navitel Navigator application for Android devices yet, you can install its free trial version. The trial period is 7 days from the first launch. During this period, you can fully enjoy all the benefits of the program, as the mode allows access to all existing services and also allows users to download all official NAVITEL® maps. To continue using the program after the trial period, you need to purchase a license. You will only have access to the maps included in the purchased license. After purchasing a program license, you can purchase licenses for additional maps or map packages.

Where can I buy the Navitel Navigator app and maps?

The full version of the application can be purchased, as well as additional maps and map packages, after the trial version expires, via the program menu. This feature is available for application version 5.5 and higher installed on devices with Android OS. An internet connection is required.

The Navitel Navigator application and navigation maps for smartphones or tablets can be purchased according to the platform either on Google Play for Android users or in the App Store for iOS users. Navigation maps can be purchased and downloaded directly within the Navitel Navigator application.

Where can I view the device serial number, license key, and its installed version in the application?

To view this information, launch Navitel Navigator 12. In the lower right corner of the main screen, click on Menu (three horizontal lines), then select the information icon in the upper left corner. The display will show the application version, device serial number, and license key.

I want to move an app to a new device, how do I do that?

If you are moving the application, for example, to a new phone, you need to download the application from Google Play using the same account you used to purchase the application, and then select "restore purchases", and the application will be automatically transferred. The transfer to a new device can be done once a year. If you have the application from a Gift Voucher, its transfer to another device is not possible. The Gift Voucher is for one Android device for one year.

Registration


When I bought the navigation device, it came with license keys for the app and maps, but when I tried to register, an error occurred. Specifically, "the license key is already activated for another device". What should I do?

What should I do if I entered the wrong serial number for the device during registration?

What should I do if an error occurs during app or map registration, stating that the key was not found or is incorrect?

This error means that the key was entered incorrectly when launching the program. Also, make sure that you are entering the key into the correct field. Most often, this is due to case sensitivity (check Caps Lock). If you are sure that you have entered the correct key and the error persists, please send an email to technical support for verification at support@navitel.cz, describing the situation. Don't forget to include your license key and contact information.

Navigation


I bought a NAVITEL navigation system, and it shows my location as being in Poland.

The navigation shows a predefined factory location that does not correspond to the real location.

For correct determination of your location, it is important to place the navigation device so that it has a direct view of the sky, where GPS satellites that determine the device's location are located. Alternatively, you can place it near a window and wait for the current location to be found.

Navigation will NOT turn on

Immediately after purchasing the device or after a long period of disuse of the navigation system, ended by sleep mode (hibernation), the device's battery may not have the necessary power to start up.

Therefore, we recommend charging the device before starting it (for at least 2 hours) using the included USB cable and connecting it to a standard wall adapter, such as the one you use for your mobile phone.

My navigation system says UNREGISTERED VERSION, what should I do?

If you exit prematurely or forget to safely remove the device after completing a navigation update on your PC, you may encounter the message UNREGISTERED VERSION on the display, and the navigation may become inoperable.

In such a case, you need to follow the instructions below. This is a simple procedure where you move the text file NaviTelAuto_Activation_Key.txt. You must copy this file to the Navitel folder and the NavitelContent/License folder.

After completing the restoration, it is necessary to perform a standard device update.

After updating or powering on, only the word NAVITEL appears

After an incorrect update, or for another reason, when you turn it on, the navigation menu fails to start, and only an image with the NAVITEL logo is displayed on the screen.

After completing the recovery, it is necessary to perform a standard device update.

How to CALIBRATE the navigation display?

Display calibration is performed using the included plastic stylus - a thin pen without a sharp tip (not your finger), which is usually inserted into the back of the navigation holder or directly into the device itself.

If I start the calibration mode, it is necessary to complete the calibration by clicking in the center of each successively appearing black cross.

After successful calibration, the navigation will start within 30 seconds or by tapping on the display.

Routes between two points are displayed as straight lines. How can I fix this?

Make sure the latest version of the app is installed on your device. If necessary, update the app and maps.

Click on Menu > Settings > Navigation and switch to Plan along roads.

Make sure you have maps for all territories through which the route passes (e.g., when planning a route across multiple countries, make sure you have downloaded the map of the country where the route starts, maps of transit countries, and the map of the destination country).

If unofficial maps exist, move them to a separate atlas folder - the reason may be incompatibility with official maps.

What should I do if my navigation system doesn't connect to GPS?

To connect to satellites, the device must be in an open space (windowsill, balcony, or car dashboard). The usual time to acquire a position after power-on is 30 to 70 seconds.

Make sure you have the latest version of the application installed. If necessary, update the application.

I cannot enter the address, my keyboard is greyed out and I can only enter certain characters or only numbers

In that case, you have disabled the keyboard language.

To restore it, go to Menu > Settings > Regional Settings > Keyboard Language and switch the last field English to green ON

The row named English represents the so-called Latin alphabet, and in order to be able to enter text on the navigation keyboard, you must select the specific font you will use to enter addresses.

I cannot connect to the camera via NAVITEL DVR Center on my phone.

Check here if your camera has a Wifi function and if it is enabled

Android – For Android phones, you need to allow everything in the app. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Then open the app and connect to the camera's Wifi. The phone will ask to allow a WIFI connection without an internet connection. After that, the app will request permission for location and other permissions that need to be confirmed.

IOS – You need to start with the Wifi settings on your phone, then connect to the app and follow the app's instructions. If the connection still isn't working, you need to go to your phone settings under the specific wifi (every wifi has this item) and find the "Privacy" item, where MAC address assignment is configured. By default, it is set to "randomly generate." You need to change it to "Use device MAC address"
If you are trying to connect in a car, there is one more possibility: it is possible that the car's Wifi is preventing the connection. There is a smart connection that then allocates the wifi connection directly to the car. Therefore, please try to connect outside the car. At home or outdoors on a bench somewhere. Also, if you have a VPN on your phone, you need to disable it.

My camera isn't sticking to the windshield, what should I do?

First, make sure you are attaching the camera to clean and dry glass. First, attach the electrostatic film included in the package to the clean and dry glass. My camera won't turn on, what should I do?

Check that everything is connected correctly. With some cameras, charging is only possible with our cable and charger; if you are only powering it with a cable without our charger, the cable may not be compatible and the camera will not charge.

Can the camera be powered by USB-C at the mirror?

Newer cameras can be powered by a full-featured USB-C to USB-C data cable (not included); for older cameras, an adapter or a USB-C to USB-A and back to USB-C conversion may work.

What is the plastic film in the package for?

The camera won't stay on unless it's connected to a power source. What should I do?

Our cameras are not designed for use without a power source connection, therefore the camera will turn off if the power supply is interrupted. Batteries or supercapacitors are only for retaining your camera's settings. See the individual camera manuals (page 4 or 5)

How can I use the parking mode feature?

To fully utilize this feature, you need to have a NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX device, which powers the camera when the engine is off.

How can I watch videos?

Videos from the camera can be viewed in several ways, either directly on the camera, or on cameras with Wi-Fi using the DVR Center app on your mobile phone, or by connecting the SD card to a PC and viewing them in the DVR Player.

After updating via DVR Center, the camera won't start. What should I do?

When updating the camera via DVR Center, the signal may temporarily drop, causing the update to fail. We recommend removing the SD card, formatting it on a computer, and then performing the update via PC. Instructions can be found here.

If the camera still does not start afterwards, then the device needs to be claimed under warranty.

I found a gift voucher in the camera packaging and I don't know what to do with it.

This is a Gift Voucher for our Navitel Navigator application. It is a one-year mobile navigation subscription. The voucher is only usable for one Android device and is non-transferable.
