on the official website in the section "Update your dashcam"

2. Update Camera

  1. Insert a microSD card into the camera. To update, use a high-speed card (Class 10 and above) 8-32 GB.

Important: To avoid dash cam and/or SD card malfunctions, do not insert or remove the SD card while the camera is operating.
  2. Connect the charger to the dash cam. To format the SD card, select "Format SD card" in the Menu mode and confirm the selection.

Important: Before using the microSD card, format it inside the dash cam to avoid data errors.
  3. Turn off the camera, remove the memory card, and connect it to your computer using a card reader.

Important: Do not use an Android smartphone/tablet as a card reader to connect to your computer and download firmware directly to the memory card from the smartphone/tablet menu.
  4. Download the firmware file "SD_CarDV.bin"* to your computer and copy it to the root directory of the memory card.

Important: If you download the file again, it may be named "SD_CarDV(1).bin", "SD_CarDV(2).bin", etc. In this case, it must be renamed.
  5. Disconnect the SD card from the computer using safe hardware removal, and then remove it. Make sure the camera is connected to power and turned off. Insert the microSD card into the dash cam. Turn on the camera.
  6. Turn on the camera. The update will start. The screen will show "Read file", then "Write firmware", and then "Write completed". Wait for the update to finish.
Note: For older models, nothing will appear on the screen, but if the camera is slightly rotated, a blinking blue light will be visible, first slowly, then quickly. After about one minute, the camera will restart, and the process is complete. Remove the card. If you do not see the blinking light, wait at least two minutes for the restart, otherwise the camera may malfunction!

Important: Do not turn off the camera or disconnect the charger!
  7. Once the update is complete, the camera will turn off, and the "SD_CarDV.bin"* file will be automatically deleted from the microSD card.
  8. Turn on the camera. The update is complete.

* Depending on the device model, the update file may also be named: 'FW96650A.bin', 'FW96655A.bin', 'FW96658A.bin', or 'FW96660A.bin'.
