Navitel Navigator 8.7.0.6 update for Windows Phone 7.5/8: 3D maps and POI icons, social services, saving to external memory card, etc.

What's new in Navitel Navigator 8.7.0.6 for Windows Phone 7.5/8:

• Saving navigation maps to an external SD card

  The updated version allows you to download navigation maps to an external SD card, which is an excellent alternative to downloading maps to the device's internal memory. To install maps on an SD card, visit your personal account on www.navitel.cz, download navigation maps depending on your license and SD card size, insert the SD card into the device and launch the Navitel Navigator application. Then select "Menu" → "Settings" → "User maps" → "Add atlas" and select the folder where your maps are stored.

• New 3D map views and 3D models of objects on the map

  3D map views showing the height and floors of buildings, allowing for easier orientation during navigation! The maps include over 100 3D models of cultural and historical buildings and tourist attractions in various cities.
  

• Points of Interest (POIs) with logos

  It is now easier to find your favorite gas stations, cinemas, restaurants and other points of interest including logos.

• Groups in Navitel.Friends service

  A new tool has been added to Navitel.Friends service, allowing you to create groups of your friends. Users can now create groups of friends or join existing ones (e.g. family, friends, colleagues, etc.), invite friends, send messages to other members. After creating a group, you can set the access level: any user can join an open group; access to a closed group must be approved by the owner; hidden groups can only be seen by the user if they receive an invitation from its owner.

• Clearer lane display

  The lane display is now much clearer and easier for users to understand, which is important for timely lane changes before an upcoming change of direction.

• New settings options for SPEEDCAM service

  You can now select individual object types in the SPEEDCAM service that you want to see on the map and be alerted about.

Among other things:

• Faster address search and nearest places.
• The error causing application crashes on some devices when exiting the program has been removed.
• Optimized device memory usage.
• Other minor adjustments have been made to increase application reliability.

To download Navitel Navigator 8.7.0.6 for Windows Phone 7.5/8, proceed to the Windows Phone Store section. After updating the application, the maps should also be updated.
