Firmware update for cameras with GPS

Dear Friends, we are pleased to announce that the software update for DVRs with GPS* is now available on the official NAVITEL® website.

The new firmware not only includes the latest data** on speed cameras, road restrictions, and changes in traffic sign locations, but also updates that improve device functionality:

1. Choose from different audio alert modes:

  • "Always notify" – default setting, all notifications accompanied by an audio signal;
  • "Notify only about speed cameras" – an audible warning will alert you to cameras whether you have exceeded the speed or not. Other notifications are displayed graphically on the screen;
  • "Notify only about speeding" – an audible signal will inform you about cameras only if you exceed the speed limit. Remaining warnings are displayed graphically.

2. Option to set the allowed maximum speed excess

You can now choose the allowed maximum speed excess in the settings in the range of -5 to +25 km/h. If you exceed the set level, you will hear an audible alert.

! When travelling, keep in mind that the speed limit may vary abroad.

3. Automatic time zone detection

If the route passes through different time zones, the time setting will change automatically.

4. Saving settings when updating camera firmware

Now, thanks to new features, all your camera settings will be saved even after updating the firmware version.

Detailed update instructions can be found on our official website in the "Update camera" section.

For correct functioning of devices with a GPS informant, we recommend regularly updating your device's software.

* For DVRs with a GPS module: R300 GPS, R600 GPS, R700 GPS DUAL, R1050.

** The database is current as of January 15, 2020.
