The front camera of the NAVITEL RS985 GPS features an advanced SONY STARVIS IMX415 sensor, which allows you to record videos in 4K, 2K, or Full HD resolution. A great advantage of the sensor is the 160° viewing angle of its 7-layer lens, which allows the device to record almost everything that happens in front of your vehicle. Additionally, the separate Full HD rear camera with a 120° viewing angle provides a reliable overview of what is happening behind the car.

A perfect overview of speed cameras
The NAVITEL RS985 GPS dash cam is equipped with a built-in GPS antenna, thanks to which the driver is warned in advance about approaching speed cameras registered in the device's database and other restrictions on the route. In addition to other sources, data from SCDB.info was used to update the speed camera database.
Increased safety
The NAVITEL RS985 GPS device features a G-sensor that is activated during sudden maneuvers or collisions. In such situations, emergency recordings are automatically saved to a separate secure folder, where they are protected from loss and easily accessible whenever you need them. Another useful feature is Parking Mode*, which can start recording even with the engine turned off while also protecting captured videos from being overwritten. The dash cam supports microSD cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB, providing enough space to store dozens of important recordings.

The front camera records in 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 px) at 25 frames per second. It also supports 2K at 30 FPS and Full HD at 60 FPS. You can choose between maximum detail and smoother recording.
Is a rear camera included in the package?
Yes. The package includes a rear camera with Full HD 1920 × 1080 px resolution and a 120° viewing angle. It connects using the supplied 5.5-meter cable and records events behind the vehicle.
What image sensor and viewing angle does the front camera have?
The front camera uses a Sony STARVIS sensor and a seven-layer glass lens with a viewing angle of up to 160°. The wide field of view helps capture events in front of the vehicle as well as in adjacent lanes.
What is the GPS speed camera informer for?
The built-in GPS antenna allows for warnings about speed cameras registered in the device's database and other restrictions on the route. For the most accurate warnings, it is advisable to update the database regularly.
What does the ADAS assistance system do?
The ADAS system alerts you to specific road situations, such as lane departure, vehicles and obstacles in front of the car, or the movement of the vehicle in front of you. These features serve as driver support and do not replace the driver's attention or responsibility for safe driving.
Does the camera have Wi-Fi and a mobile app?
Yes. The camera supports 5GHz Wi-Fi and the NAVITEL DVR Center app. Once connected to your phone, you can manage device settings, view recordings, and download videos to your mobile.
What memory card does the camera support?
The camera supports microSD memory cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB. For reliable video recording, the manufacturer recommends a U3/V30 speed class card or higher. A memory card is not included as standard in the package.
Does the camera have a parking mode?
Yes. Parking mode allows recording even when the engine is off, provided the camera is powered via the NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX power kit (sold separately). The G-sensor detects impacts and sudden maneuvers and helps protect important recordings from being overwritten.
What kind of display does the NAVITEL RS985 GPS have?
The front camera is equipped with a 3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480 × 854 px. The display allows you to view recordings and conveniently adjust camera settings directly on the device.
Does the camera record automatically and in a loop?
Yes. The Auto-Start feature begins recording once the power is switched on, and loop recording continuously saves new files. The G-sensor helps protect important videos from being overwritten during normal operation.
Can the camera be used in both passenger and freight vehicles?
Yes. The package includes a car charger supporting an input voltage of 12–24 V, making it suitable for both regular passenger cars and vehicles with a 24 V electrical system.
