The Q2 2019 Europe map updates are now available for Navitel Navigator users.
The update includes 44 countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Vatican City.
Austria
The map of Austria contains 26,738 cities and towns, including 10,783 that are available for address search. The map contains 54,243 points of interest (POIs). The length of the road map is 216,260 km.
- Updated traffic information, speed limits, junctions, and route plans for various transport types on major highways and junctions near Vienna.
- Added new bypass in Scharnitz.
Bulgaria
The map of Bulgaria contains 5,518 cities and towns, including 614 that are available for address search. The map has 31,500 points of interest (POIs). The length of the road map is 216,260 km.
In Q2 2019 release:
- Added maps for settlements (with routing leading to a house): Vidin, Dobrich, Kazichene cities;
- Updated Lom and Pleven cities;
- Added a new area for A3 highway "Struma" (Blagoevgrad city);
- Updated POI database for hotels in Chernomorets and Sozopol cities.
Hungary
The map of Hungary contains 3,821 cities and towns, including 3,212 that are available for address search. The map contains 35,245 points of interest (POIs). The length of the road map is 108,812 km.
In Q2 2019 release:
- Updated data for the following cities: Bekes, Rackeve, Salgotaryan;
- Added a new 447 bypass in Kechkemet.
Germany
The map of Germany contains 97,048 cities and towns, including 88,798 that are available for address search. The map contains 1,647,560 points of interest (POIs). The length of the road map is 1,101,472 km.
Updated road network across the whole territory of Germany.
Denmark
The map of Denmark has added:
- New highway 15 with junctions;
- New junction with tunnels "O2 Nordhavnsvej" (Copenhagen)
- Information on roads and turns at junctions on the following highways: E20, O4, 21, E47, 16, 19, 17.
Updated POI database of gas stations and their driveways.
Iceland
For the map of Iceland, an updated POI database of gas stations and their driveways.
Italy
The map of Italy contains 69,233 cities and towns, including 39,840 that are available for address search. 31,403,699 unique addresses are available for search. The map contains 67,972 points of interest (POIs). The length of the road map is 782,213 km.
Updated road graph: added new roads and junctions with roundabouts in the northwestern part of Italy.
Latvia
Updated road networks and database of enforcement cameras and alerts.
Lithuania
The map of Lithuania in Q2 2019 release contains updated road graph and updated database of speed cameras and alerts.
Norway
The map of Norway contains 18,811 cities and towns, including 1,438 that are available for address search. The map has 6,238 POIs. The length of the road map is 223,426 km.
Updated POI database of gas stations and their driveways.
Poland
The map of Poland contains 95,313 cities and towns, including 55,063 that are available for address search. The map has 267,870 POIs. The length of the road map is 733,656 km.
Updated road networks and database of enforcement cameras and alerts.
Romania
The map of Romania contains 14,483 cities and settlements, including 595 that are available for address search. The map has 44,707 POIs. The length of the road map is 135,762 km.
The map of Romania in Q2 2019:
- Added new bypasses in Miercurea Ciuc and near the city;
- Updated road network in small settlements;
- Changed route mapping on the DN6 highway through Becicherecu Mic;
- Updated POI.
Serbia
The map of Serbia contains 16,576 cities and settlements, of which 812 are available for address search. The map has 23,279 POIs. The length of the road map is 59,253 km.
Added a new area of R6 highway between the cities of Doganaj and Elez Han.
Slovakia
The following cities have been updated on the map of Slovakia in Q2 2019: Trnava, Nitra, Piešťany.
Ukraine
The map of Ukraine contains 30,013 cities and settlements, including 3,707 that are available for address search. The map has 128,444 POIs. The length of the road map is 1,140,136 km.
In Q2 2019 release for the map of Ukraine:
- Updated traffic direction on Red Square in Chernigov city (traffic was temporarily changed due to reconstruction);
- Changed traffic in Kyiv on Zapadynskaya street;
- Added a bypass in Pokrovskaya Bogachka village (Poltava region);
- Renamed 86 settlements in Nikolaev and Sumy regions;
- Renamed 895 streets in Poltava, Sumy, Nikolaevsk and Kyiv regions;
- Added detailed address information in 75 settlements in Donetsk, Lugansk, Nikolaev, Rivne, Sumy and Ternopil regions.
Added POI database of Novaya Pochta post offices in Sumy, Odessa, Rivne, Poltava, Volyn, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Ternopil, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
After extensive work by the mapping and geodesy department and comprehensive analysis of user feedback of Navitel Navigator application:
- Processed user marks, tracks and comments in Kyiv and Kyiv region;
- Added POIs in the settlements: Kharkiv, Kyiv, Krivoy Rog, Petrushi, Repki, Oleshki, Sudak, Simferopol, Yalta, Zatoka, Alushta, Belaya Tserkiv, Belgorod-Dnistrovsky, Herson, Novaya Kahovka, Nikolayev, Pervomaisk, Uzhnoukrainsk, Vinnytsia;
- Changed speed limit 50 km/h to 80 km/h in Kyiv city: Pobedy prospect, Bolshaya Koltsevaya road, Gorodskaya street, Koltsevaya road, P-69 highway, Stepan Bandera prospect, General Vatutin prospect, Naberzhno-Rybalskaya street, Stolichnoe highway, Naddnepryanskoe highway, Naberezhnoye highway, Saperno-Slobodskaya street, Brovarskoy prospect, Perova boulevard, Telegi Eleni street, Sobornosti prospect;
- Fixed house numbering and added road passages in Drogobich, Dnepr, Balaklava, Kharkov and Kyiv.
Finland
The map of Finland contains 13,816 cities and settlements, including 9,511 that are available for address search. The map has 15,605 POIs. The length of the road map is 480,200 km.
Added detailed maps of Pudasjärvi, Seinäjoki, Varkaus and updated POI database of gas stations and their driveways.
France
The road network database, POIs and address search database are updated for the entire territory of France.
Czech Republic
The map of the Czech Republic contains 20,535 cities and towns, of which 6,259 are available for address search. There are 3,792,185 unique addresses available. The map has 125,804 POIs. The length of the road map is 164,172 km.
Updated traffic information, speed limits, turns and routes for various transport types on the main highways of the Czech Republic.
Also added to the map:
- Bypass in Lehovice;
- Part of highway D3
Switzerland
Updated road graph in Zurich and Lucerne regions.
Sweden
In Q2 2019, the following changes were made to the map of Sweden:
- Updated POI database for museums in Stockholm;
- Updated POI database for gas stations and their driveways;
- Added a toll gate in Stockholm.
Estonia
Updated rural road network, as well as the database of cameras and alerts.
Each map includes residential and industrial infrastructure of cities and settlements with address search, a detailed road network with traffic direction, junctions, roundabouts, and other important navigation information.
