NAVITEL® today released an updated version of the Navitel Navigator 9.7 application for the Android operating system. The new version brings several fundamental changes that will make navigation faster and easier.
— Alternative routes
The new version of Navitel Navigator 9.7 allows users to select the best route to their destination. If there are multiple ways to reach the destination, Navitel Navigator will display alternative routes on the screen. Information about distance and time to the destination is available for each alternative route.
— NAVITEL widgets
Users of the Navitel Navigator 9.7 application can now add widgets to the home screen of their smartphones and tablets.
With just one click on the Home or Work widgets, navigation from your current position to your home or workplace will automatically start. Clicking on the Route widget will redirect you to the route settings screen, and clicking on the Map widget will take you to the map screen.
— Optimized Q3 2016 maps
The updated version of the Navitel Navigator application creates routes instantly. The Q3 2016 maps are even more detailed and have been optimized to take up less space on the SD card or phone memory.
The updated Navitel Navigator 9.7 version also brings the following features:
- search by postal code;
- improved address search;
- option to delete personal data after reset;
- new Point of Interest (POI) type: electric vehicle charging stations;
- and other improvements that increase program stability.
Users of smartphones and tablets with the Android operating system can download the new version of Navitel Navigator from the Downloads tab on the official NAVITEL® website or via Google Play.
New users can try the application for 7 days free. After the trial period expires, the application will switch to a mode with limited functionality. To use the premium version, you must purchase a license key.

* The annual subscription is available for all existing map packages, with the exception of maps of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, or packages containing a map of at least one of the aforementioned states.
