We are pleased to announce that thanks to the work of the cartographic department, geodesy, and comprehensive analysis of user feedback of the Navitel Navigator application, NAVITEL® is releasing the Q3 2024 map update.
All maps have been supplemented with residential and industrial infrastructure of all cities and settlements with address search functionality. Detailed and clear road networks include all streets, lanes and roads considering traffic direction, road junctions, roundabouts and other information necessary for successful navigation. Also, for all Q3 2024 map releases, speed camera data, road restrictions, and changes in traffic sign placement have been updated.
The Q3 2024 map updates contain 9,946,892 km of road graph, 5,045,069 points of interest, and 702,896 cities and towns with 310,830 unique searchable addresses. The update applies to maps of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia.
A list of changes for each map of the affected countries is provided below.
CZECH REPUBLIC
Added:
- New section of main road I/58, Mošnov bypass;
- Approximately 300 new various types of points of interest.
The Q3 2024 maps of the Czech Republic include 174,784 km of road graph, 15,460 cities and towns with a searchable address database of 6,254 entries, and 124,854 points of interest located throughout the country.
ESTONIA
Maps of these countries have been updated based on user feedback and other sources. The current road network of the country totals 84,487 km, the list of settlements includes 4,713 cities and towns with a complete address database containing 242,940 entries. In addition, this version comes with an extensive POI database with 44,074 objects across the country.
FINLAND
A complete update of address information for 1,868,528 entries allows browsing 14,157 cities and towns and finding 19,874 points of interest. The total length of the road network now totals 484,559 km.
GEORGIA
A new section of the E60 route, the bypass around the city of Zestaponi, has been added, with the Georgian road network now extended to 81,871 km. The list of settlements now includes 4,344 cities and towns with an extensive database of over 117,350 addresses. The number of points of interest has reached 6,569 entries.
HUNGARY
Added:
- New section of the M6 motorway near Bóly;
- New section of the M44 motorway near Lakitelek;
- New border crossing with Slovakia on road 2208 near Drégelypalánk.
These changes increase the length of the Hungarian road graph to 107,235 km while expanding its address database to 2,966,004 entries in 3,823 cities and settlements. The Q3 2024 update also includes 38,144 points of interest.
LATVIA
Maps of these countries have been adjusted based on user feedback and other sources. The current Latvian road network totals up to 100,299 km, its settlement list includes 8,811 cities and towns with a complete address database containing 211,468 entries. In addition, this version comes with an extensive POI database with 19,923 places and objects to explore.
LITHUANIA
Maps of these countries have been adjusted based on user feedback and other sources. The new map now includes 17,468 settlements and cities with a complete address database of 310,545 entries, 29,999 POIs, and a road network with an estimated length of 85,180 km.
POLAND
A complete update of address information, which now allows quickly searching 16,647,414 addresses in approximately 95,054 cities and towns. The release also includes 766,679 km of road graph and a list of points of interest with 249,996 entries.
SLOVAKIA
New border crossing with Hungary on road 2208 near Ipeľské Predmostie. The Q3 2024 maps of Slovakia include 54,061 km of road graph, 23,308 points of interest, and 3,830 cities and towns with 1,586,058 unique searchable addresses.
